Undermount Sink Solid Surface Countertop

The first step to installing a solid surface undermount sink is to turn the solid surface sheet upside down and locate the place where the sink is to be placed.
Undermount sink solid surface countertop. Granite and quartz sinks can be top mounted dropped in or undermounted with most counter surface materials. The edge of the countertop along the sink cutout is entirely exposed. Undermount sinks are easier to clean and keep hygienic since the barrier around the sink like the lip for a top mounted sink is no longer there. Granite and quartz sinks can be top mounted dropped in or undermounted with most counter surface materials.
Glue the metal sink mounting brackets to the underside of the top and clamp the bowl in place. Additionally the seam between the sink and the top is bacteria stain and water resistant because it is a hardened resin like the rest of the non porous sink and countertop. Follow the steps above but in place of the solid surface adhesive use 100 silicone often labeled silicone sealant or silicone caulk and metal sink mounting brackets. An undermount sink does have a rim but the rim is not visible because it rests up against the bottom of the counter.
Leave the sink brackets in place after the silicone sets for extra support. Creates a continuous flow from countertop into sink. Acrylic sinks are often preferred for bathroom sinks particularly when the sink will be mounted under a solid surface counter or bathroom vanity top.
