Smart blind stick with ultrasonic sensor. The blind stick is integrated with ultrasonic sensor along with light and water sensing. The stick also has an rf receiver which connects with an rf transmitter that acts as a remote for finding the stick on missing. We here propose an advanced blind stick that allows visually challenged people to navigate with ease using advanced technology. For better accuracy and assistance two or three ultrasonic sensors sensors can be added to this project.
This is the reason why we have designed the blind walking stick device which will help blind people to walk with ease independently. Through this the blind person can aware about the obstacles in front of him. Of course you can use a vibrator motor in place of buzzer and advance a lot more using your creativity. This arduino board is small enough to install on a regular stick and has buzzer ldr sensor ultrasonic sensor and a water detector sensor interfaced to it.
The smart stick is built on arduino pro mini. This smart stick will have an ultrasonic sensor to sense distance from any obstacle ldr to sense lighting conditions and a rf remote using which the blind man could remotely locate his stick all the feedbacks will be given to the blind man through a buzzer. The smart blind stick automatically detects the obstacle in front of the person and give him a response to the person by vibrating the stick and also with a warning sound.
